Here we see the plate attached to the model's jaw. After the surgeons performed the mock operation on the model. It all started with a stepping CAT scan of my head.  From that data an acrylic model was made by the company CyberForm.  This model would be used by the surgeons to get a real, hands-on idea of what they were dealing with.  They then cut out the jaw of the model and performed a mock surgery before laying a knife on me.

It's pretty screwed up, huh?  Compare it to the real skull above, nice and smooth.
When the plate was finally attached to my jaw, it would not require any additional bending.  Thanks to the good people at AONA, it was a perfect fit.  And thanks to the surgeons!
